James Charron

My name is James Charron, and I’m a certified yoga teacher devoted to making the practice accessible to every body—especially those who feel like yoga isn’t “for them.” I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Roots Hot Yoga in 2025, where I deepened my commitment to sharing yoga in an inclusive and approachable way

My journey to yoga didn’t begin in a studio, but through real-life challenges that led me to seek something deeper: stability, healing, and connection.

I began practicing hot yoga in 2019 and have since been drawn to many different styles of yoga. Like many students, my path has not been perfectly consistent—I’ve moved in and out of practice over the years—but each return to the mat has deepened my understanding of what yoga truly offers beyond the physical.

With a background in recovery from drug, alcohol, and food addiction, I found yoga and meditation to be powerful tools for transformation. What started as a personal lifeline has evolved into a daily practice rooted in presence, honesty, and self-acceptance. Through my ongoing experiences with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, I continue to explore how movement, breath, and mindfulness can support both physical and emotional resilience.

I teach from the belief that yoga is not about perfection—it’s about showing up. My classes emphasize breath awareness, functional movement, and creating a safe, judgment-free space where students can reconnect with themselves at their own pace. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning after time away, I’ll meet you where you are.

I believe it’s never too late to change your life, and I’m passionate about sharing yoga with underserved communities and anyone who may feel overlooked or intimidated by traditional wellness spaces.

My wife and two kids are instrumental in my joy just as they are, and I value my alternate work hours as a cook at Warfuel Kitchen where I can reach and help bring action, and nutrients, to people’s life experience.
